Lenkangu Moses completed a two year program at Arusha Teacher’s College in May. Fifteen Years ago I enrolled Lenkangu in preschool and now he has graduated from college as a certified teacher. He hopes to be assigned to a school in Maasai country to work with Maasai children. We have been told that if he secures letters from the local Maasai leaders expressing their need for another teacher in our local primary school here at Olbalbal and asking specifically for Lenkangu, there is a good chance that the education office will assign him here.
During his time in Teacher’s College at the mid-year and end-of-year

vacations, Lenkangu has organized and taught a remedial program for Swahili and Math aimed at the weakest students in our primary school. Both students and parents are immensely grateful to him for his efforts and the significant improvement the kids have shown. Lenkangu has sacrificed his leave time to lead these month long programs twice yearly. This work has assured Lenkangu of the enthusiastic support of local leaders and parents. We wish Lenkangu well as he begins his career as a teacher.
